“Fundamental to our growth ambitions is the development of a highly skilled workforce. Our ambition is to improve the skillset of our engineers and to develop our leaders of the future from within the company, meaning more skilled work being located here in Devon.”
Clive Scott, CEO
“The reason we moved to Devon was that we needed more space and this was a good central catchment area for the people we needed. We were recruiting heavily at the time and there’s a high calibre of people in this area. We didn’t find it difficult to attract good people by being based in Exeter. “The added extra is that it’s a nice place to live, the natural aspects of Devon, the countryside and the way of life, are a huge pull. We spend a lot of time in the Midlands which really is the automotive centre of the country and so our potential customers are elsewhere, but we have proved we don’t need to be there. I believe we attract people because we are in Devon. It’s got everything.”
Mark Roberts – Managing Director, Ashwoods

“Relocating to Devon from the London area some 20 years ago, has allowed HepcoMotion the capacity to expand and to grow to where we are today. This is down to, in no small part, the high skill levels and hard-working nature of the local workforce, and we count ourselves lucky to have such a dedicated Team.”
Giles Forster – Chairman, HepcoMotion

Stirling Paatz & John Parker - Founders, SF Simulation
“Over the years we have gathered an excellent team from all around Devon – the talent is here in Devon. You don’t have to be based near London to be a hi-tech trailblazer. We have found in south Devon an ideal environment for us to be a hub for bright ideas which have led to new and exciting products.”
Dr Mike Young, Managing Director of SRA Developments
