On Monday 31st March, representatives from some of Devon’s most innovative creative and digital business took part in an event at the Houses of Parliament to showcase Devon’s thriving creative and digital sector to MPs and government ministers.
Amongst our high profile guests were Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills Dr Vince Cable; Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport Maria Miller and Life Peer Baroness Jolly, as well as MPs from across Devon… Not bad!
This was a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate what Devon has to offer for businesses looking to relocate or expand, so that MPs and the Government can spread the word within their networks. The entrepreneurial and innovative characteristics of Devon’s workforce and businesses really came across well at the event, so the economy team at Devon County Council are expecting yet more interest from companies looking to move to Devon.
The event received widespread positive feedback, and definitely will go down as a resounding success.
