National Apprenticeship Week 2014

ApprenticeshipsApprenticeship figures for Devon compared to the rest of the UK, in many cases are well above average, particularly the success rates of our young people in apprenticeship schemes, and this is just one of the reasons for our extremely well qualified workforce.

Many employers in our county, both large and small, have fully embraced apprenticeship schemes, meaning both young people and employers alike are benefiting greatly from these schemes.

In order to support apprenticeship schemes further, Devon County Council organised a business breakfast and apprenticeship fair, to bring employers, young people and training providers under one roof. This was part of National Apprenticeship Week 2014 and aimed to inform young people and businesses about the benefits of taking on an apprentice, as well as to give young people the opportunity to find out more about the apprenticeships on offer in Devon.
